In piece of news actually surprised me, i would have honestly thought that Clerks 3  though it is still apparent, hopefully happening  would have come before Mallrats 2 as the original film “Mallrats” came out way back in ’95 and Clerks 2 was in 2006. I still do not understand how Kevin Smith got Rosario Dawson to be in that movie when her first opening lines were about “ass-to mouthmallrats 2 kevin smith

And yet there is now in spite of planning to retire after “Clerks 3” which theoretically is beginning its creation the upcoming May, Smith has alluded to as much as a sequel for the film.

Personally as much as i love(d)  Kevin Smith and “Mallrats”, and even more the amazing and underestimated romantic comedy drama that was”Chasing Amy” not discounting the fun satiric and still obtusely dramatic if not enlightening Clerks 2 and of course the undeniable simple minded and more simple minded original Clerks… I would much more perfered to see a conclusion to the story that is Dante Hicks (Brian O’Halloran) and Randell Graves (Jeff Anderson) before they finally before old and worthless (the characters, not the actors) instead of learning anything more about the “Mallrats” ( no offense to Joey Lauren Adams I loved you so very much as Alyssa Jones

Jason Lee, Claire Forlani,   and the unforgettable “Jay”  the silent partner to K. Smith in film and life Jason Mewes. Dude I loved you in Feast and Bitten.

K. Smith recently tweeted about his project called  “Moose Jaws”  which Smith explained as “Jaws with a Moose” whatever that means..and also tweeted … i smell a rat.. assumably suggesting a sequel to the 1995 film…the reaction has been…

“It was crazy, people reacted to that and I saw people be like ‘Oh. Really?’ But there were a lot of people who were like ‘Holy crap, this is cool!’ So now, once again, there are people to disappoint, and I’m sure I will disappoint them, but right now it’s that wonderful period of like, ‘This could be excellent!’ Probably won’t be, but…”
